My heartfelt thanks to Bobby Bruce formerly of 214 Pacific Avenue, a Great Tour Guide, Companion and most of all A True Friend.
What a day.
At 10 am local time we debarked from the good ship MSC Auremenia.
A spotlessly, clean vessel. This had been our home on the Red Sea for the past week. I have no complaints whatsoever, the food was excellent, staff both front and back of house, immaculate.
The staff were multi lingual and openly friendly. I would recommend this Cruise ship for anyone that appreciates , travel, gourmet food and friendliness. Crew members were places as varied as Odessa to Bali. India to Paraguay. All in, all a great cruise.
More to follow on the cruise.
When we returned to the resort in Sharm el Sheikh. Bob and I were sitting at the bar waiting to check in. Suddenly with a crash and a bang, Egyptian Army troops and National Police came thundering through the bar AK47 s at the ready, Why?? No one told us, but it is the first time we have seen any troubles on this trip. Life returned to normal within the hour.
The Arab Spring riots and marches, seem far away from here but are in fact only a couple of hundred miles North.
The effects we do feel here are the Censoring of the news on both CNN and the Beeb. The internet servers are more down than up, hence the lateness of some of these blogs. This one in fact I wanted to post on Saturday but will now wait till tonight. Monday evening in Glasgow…
It is now after midnight Monday In Glasgow here few pics from the past couple of days.
Thanks for following my Travels.
