To Continue this Saga. On the Saturday we headed for the Castlegate Market
INFO for tour guides: First check there is a market that day! ha ha it all worked out though as we drove down King Street to show them where my dad was born….we arrive at the University of Aberdeen (1495) it was a show day for possible students.
Then it was off to Balmoral Castle. Although the Queen was not at home for tea Craig and Marilyn enjoyed the immaculate grounds. We met a young man from Vancouver, Stuart. His summer job is at Balmoral acting as a tour guide, and added a splash of his colourful Canuck Accent. So nice to see a young Canadian at the Castle.
What to do after a magnificent Castle? Why naturally a Royal Whisky Distillery. No photos were allowed inside the distillery except for the tasting rooms.
Our HOST for the Tour was Eric a man from Mauritius. Who was a fountain of Information with regard to Distilleries.
On the Sunday it was Up Early head out just after 9am. Return just before 11pm. 262 Highland Miles. What a lovely day Superb Scenery and a trip to Culloden.
After Culloden we decided to surprise Marilyn a Hard Core Fan of Outlander:

After we left the ancient stone circles we headed NE to the coastal route to Fraserburgh for our Supper.
The Famous Wine Tower where theLaird Fraser locked up his daughter because she wished to marry a fisherman..She died when she jumped from the window onto the rocks below. See the Red Paint which marks the spot she landed.
At long last Supper, Guess what Marilyn Had? Both Craig and I had a standard Pub Meal. Marilyn had ………………
I drove Craig and Marilyn to Aberdeen train Station to continue their Journey via Edinburgh, then the Borders. To Be Continued…
